Another landscape I started Plein air, then jazzed up in the studio. I wasn’t super happy with the Plein air stage but I think I cleaned up the perspective well enough in post. I often get asked how I design my work and if it looks like this from the beginning. I usually start out “normal” and then add my stylized elements as I see fit. I have a few different modes I like to work within and since there were no swirly clouds that day, a crystal blue sky made more sense. I find my art process is more creative and fun when I let the piece develop and I respond as I go.
